Timothy N. "Tim" Travis

Timothy N. "Tim" Travis, 46, Raytheon Aircraft Media Relations Manager, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 9, 2004. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, College Hill United Methodist Church, 2390 E. First St. Burial to follow at 2:00p.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, KS.

Tim was an avid athlete, excelling in golf and tennis. He loved baseball and was assistant coach of his son's baseball team. Tim also loved both snow skiing and water skiing, as well as bowling and football.

Tim attended Wichita State University and received his bachelor's degree in Journalism. Before Raytheon, he worked for the Ark Valley News, CityLife magazine and the Wichita Business Journal.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children, Lydia, Connor, Hanna and Abigail, all of the home; parents, Gene Travis and Bonnie and Dean Schrag of Newton; sisters, Christy Barre of Monticello, IL, Tracey Loggan of Newton; step-brothers & step-sister, Meribeth Miller of North Newton, Gordon Schrag, Littleton, CO, Steve Schrag of Dallas, TX and a host of friends and coworkers whose lives he touched.

A memorial has been established with the Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Sedgwick County, 219 N. St. Francis, Wichita, KS 67202.
